Abstract Reports on a fire in a tire recycling facility that required the direction of cooling water on silos and liquid nitrogen and involved one explosion injuring thirteen firefighters. The fire was not fully extinguished until February 3, 2002 and required the efforts of emergency responders from over thirty fire and EMS agencies.
