Materials concerned with the general store activity include correspondence, letterbooks, financial records, orders, invoices, and ledgers for a wide variety of itemsfrom shoes and clothing to building materials, notions, cigars, and fertilizer. The collection also contains a large number of cashbooks, daybooks, and other ledgers from the late 1870s through the early 1890s as well as fertilizer account books (1885-1890) that are not identified as to company. |
