Scope and content |
Collection consists of an agricultural notebook of Dr. Francis Roger Gregory and Mattie L. Gregory of Granville County, N.C. The book contains records of sheep, pig, cow, and horse prices, as well as the gestation period for each. It gives a day-to-day account of raising tobacco and corn and notes how the weather conditions affected these crops. Poetry and rhymes were collected and noted, as well as proverbs, sayings, and predictions. |
