Abstract |
Business consulting entrepreneur and corporate lawyer Peter Bynoe on March 20, 1951, in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his B.A., M.A. and J.D. degrees from Harvard University before entering the business world as a Citibank executive intern in 1976. The following year, he became vice president of James Lowry and Associates. Holding the position until 1982, he then founded Telemat Ltd., a business consulting firm. In 1989, Bynoe and three of his partners became the first minority owners of an NBA franchise in 1981, purchasing the Denver Nuggets for $65 million. In 1992, he sold his interest in the franchise and joined the law firm of Piper Marbury Rudnick & Wolfe, working on the management committee. He continued to facilitate the construction of professional sports stadiums around the country. Bynoe served as director of the Chicago Economic Club, chairman of the Chicago Planning Commission and director of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority. |
