Abstract |
Owning a mobile is becoming an indispensable and ubiquitous element of young people's lives, both teenagers and increasingly primary age children as well. This almost universal take up of mobile phones by youngsters is a significant change in their lives compared to those who came before. What is going on out there and what is the impact on schools and education? Are they a force for good, or an example of technology gone awry? Is it sensible to ban their use in schools? Or should this all-pervasive device be given a place in lessons and learning? |
