With the federal government out of denial, provinces recognizing the need for action, multinational companies jockeying for praise as environmental stewards, and ordinary Canadians more willing than ever to reduce their carbon footprint, Canada is joining the ranks of countries that are tackling global warming. This commitment may well be strong enough to withstand pressure to abandon action plans and fight against the path of the Trump administration. In this book, long-time environmentalist and activist Tony Clarke provides the background and analysis of the challenging situation Canada faces.
