Correspondence concerns illness and death in Halifax, the purchase and establishment of a farm in Tennessee for Baptist camp meetings, personal and business affairs, genealogy and family histories, and political campaigns for judicial seats in Tennessee and in North Carolina by R. Hunt Parker. The remainder of the collection contains genealogical notes, photographs, newspaper clippings, postcards, and a scrapbook pertaining to the history of the Hilliards and related families. Photographs and postcards deal primarily with World War I and depict Nuremberg, Germany; Luxembourg; French Canada; eastern Virginia; and the life and training of American troops preparing to go to the Western Front.
