Collection consists of correspondence, research materials, and professional files of Dr. William N. Still, Jr. Also includes manuscripts for "Confederate Shipbuilding" and "Iron Afloat"; correspondence, minutes, and memorandums of the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Memorial Commission; North American Society for Oceanic History conference materials; and a muster roll (1862). Materials relate to the North Carolina shrimp, fishing, shipbuilding industries; marine archaeology; and maritime and naval history, especially concerning the United States Civil War and World War II. |
