Summary |
Collection includes a letter and paper currency. The letter (1916), from Col. Fred A. Olds of the North Carolina Historical Commission to Sallie Davis, proposes that East Carolina Teachers Training School develop a historical collection. For that collection Col. Olds enclosed currency, including colonial proclamation money (1754, 1768, 1771), Revolutionary War currency (1780), and currency from the Civil War. The letter gives advice on the type of shelving needed for storing documents and provides information about the currency's history. |
