By His Excellency Henry Clinton, lieutenant-general of His Majesty's forces, &c. &c. &c : Whereas, for the better supply of His Majesty's marine and land forces ... the establishment of a free and open market is highly expedient. All persons are therefore permitted, without let or molestation, to pass and repass from the country and island of Conanicut to this town.
