New-York, February 2, 1768 : This evening, at six o'clock, at the Exchange Room, the committee, to whom it was refered [sic], by a metting [sic] of the inhabitants of this city, to consider of means to promote frugality, industry, and the employment of our tradesmen and poor, will make their report. It is hoped there will be a full meeting of the inhabitants, to receive the same, that their sentiments may be known on matters of such importance to the community.
