General note | This weekly military magazine promised to present a faithful record of the events of the war with England; it described battles and listed enemy vessels captured, and also published reviews of military instruction. In addition to the military material, it printed public state papers and proceedings of Congress and provided a weekly summary of foreign and domestic news, extracts from foreign and American journals and newspapers, occasional political essays, and poetry.
