"[These volumes contain] a verbatim transcription of the Wilkes County Court minutes .... Two individuals have abstracted the earliest Wilkes County court minutes, those for the period 1778 to 1797. First, in 1974-1975 Mrs. W.O. Absher abstracted minutes of these years in four typewritten volumes .... A second researcher, James Alan Williams, created a more complete transcription of the same years in a single volume (2nd edition, 2014)."--page [3]. |
