| Abstract |
The new season of Need to Know kicks off with Mike Baker exploring how Conservative and Liberal Democrat philosophy is shaping coalition government policy on education. We speak to Conservative MP Graham Stuart about the supply side revolution , the Conservative plan to drive up school standards through greater choice and competition. We also assess differences within the coalition government and Liberal Democrat opposition to Conservative plans. We speak to Liberal Democrat councillor Peter Downes who tabled a motion that attacked conservative plans for free schools and academies. |
