Abstract |
Karole Armitage’s high velocity hallmark style mixes classical ballet, modern dance and contemporary movement trends. When she was appointed choreographer for the Florence-based MaggioDanza , her first major project was the creation of The Predators' Ball, inspired by the rise and fall of junk - bond king Michael Milken. This profile focuses on the genesis of Armitage’s image-driven piece which, like much of her work, breaks down the boundaries that conventionally separate dance, theatre, music and the visual arts. |
