Summary The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is the independent body responsible for driving improvement and excellence in the health and social care system. We develop guidance, standards and information on high-quality health and social care. We also advise on ways to promote healthy living and prevent ill health. The NICE Endorsement Programme formally endorses resources produced by external organisations that support the implementation of NICE guidance and the use of quality standards in part or in full. NICE issues an endorsement statement for endorsed resources to the producer and displays it on the NICE website. This manual delineates the process for endorsing guidance and quality standards.
