Contents Allied Troops Enter China after Retaking a Portion of Burma Road ca. 1945 (0:59)
Abstract Throughout much of World War II, Allied forces concentrated on preventing Japan from invading British-held India. It was not until 1945 that Allied forces began to push Japanese troops back east across China. One major turning point in the Allied cause was the recapturing of the Burma Road, the main overland supply route that connected China to India.
