| Abstract |
The author was the editor and financier of this unique and costly collection of portraits and biographical data of "outstanding" virtuosos, dilettantes and composers of the flute, which was first privately printed in Berlin in 1906. Karl Ventzke then took over the Goldberg Collection, used as a model for the reprint, with plates measuring 18 x 25 cm from the estate of the Düren manufacturer and flute collector Dr. Joseph Zimmerman. A few portraits that were lost or damaged during World War II could be taken from the Goldberg Collection owned by Professor Berndsen in Würzburg. |
