A Righteous Seed Never Begs for Bread is a novel that begins with historical and literary events of Helen, a slave girl, of the 1850's grappling with identity and rape on a plantation in North Carolina but finds the tenacity to face challenges and triumphs. A twist of fate brings her children and six more generations' new beginnings who having similar struggles but overcoming through faith to conquer uncertainties through love and togetherness. With tenacity and self-determination, they turn hatred into love, conflict into cooperation, violence into negotiation, war into peace, sickness into health, brokenness into wholeness, poverty into sufficiency, sufficiency into sharing, prejudice into acceptance, anger into celebration, grief into comfort and death the dawn of eternal life. |
