Abstract Figaro plots to help Count Almaviva win the hand of Rosina, ward of Dr. Bartolo, who intends to marry her himself. Twice-disguised, the Count wins Rosina's heart and, once Figaro has foiled the counter-plots of Bartolo and his cronies, they marry in the nick of time.
