The proceedings of the convention ... held this day, at W. Christie's, in the town of Bethlehem, were read--thereupon resolved unanimously, that this meeting highly approve of the nomination of John Woodworth, and Guert Van Schoonhoven, for senators, of Robert Tillotson, for member of Congress ... Resolved, that Isaac Dennison [and fifteen others] ... are hereby appointed a committee of correspondence ... for the sucess of the above named candidates. Resolved, that the following persons be a general committee to promote the election of the above candidates ... [Signed:] I. Townsend, chairman. Peter P. Dox, secretary. |
