At a meeting of the Corporation of the Widows Fund, at the First Presbyterian Church in the city of Philadelphia, May 23, 1783 : Whereas by a standing rule of this corporation, regulating the terms of admitting contributors to the fund, it is provided that every contributor shall commence his annual subscriptions within one year after his settlement in a congregation.
