State of Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations. In General Assembly, March second session, A.D. 1777 : Resolved, that each of the three divisions of the militia, and alarm and independent companies, heretofore drafted agreeable to a resolve of this Assembly, passed at their sessions in December last, be drafted into two divisions each, under the direction of the field officers of each regiment, or commander of each independent company.
