A proclamation : Whereas information has been given to this government, that Samuel Ball and Benjamin Ledyke alias Benjamin Dite, who were apprehended for the murther of an Indian at Wiscasset ... were in the town of Falmouth, in a riotous and outragious manner ... rescued out of the hands of the said officer ... Given at the Council-chamber in Boston, the twenty-eighth day of December 1749.
