Octob. 20. 1740 : My Lords, As His Majesty's honour and interest, in regard to this part of his dominions, may be affected by the proceedings of the Assembly of this province ... I cannot ... any longer defer laying those proceedings before your Lordships, that you may be enabled to make such a representation of them to His Majesty as you in your superior judgment shall think necessary.
