Summary From the 1920s to the 1950s, U.S. citizens with leprosy were forcibly transported to Carville, America's last leprosarium. Abandoned by family and friends and stripped of constitutional and basic human rights, this documentary tells the story of their courage and perseverance in making Carville their home. It is a damning story of outrageous discrimination and stigma in the US public health system.
