Collection consists of a ledger documenting construction projects of C. B. West and his son in Greenville and other cities (1910-1916, 1937, 1949-1955), materials purchased from such suppliers as W. H. Dail of Greenville, and three Greenville court record books (1889, 1896, and 1901) documenting minor crimes in Greenville. |

Biographical note | C. B. West was a builder and architect active in Greenville during the first third of the twentieth century. He was responsible for the construction of such structures in Greenville as the James L. Fleming House, the National Bank Building at Five Points, the Rotary Club building, the West Greenville Grammar School, and the Pitt Theatre. His son and grandson, the donors of this collection, also entered in the construction business. |
