"This documentary tells a story about community and a way of life for textile millworkers that was once common in the Southeast but is rapidly fading away. Located in Jamestown, North Carolina, Oakdale Cotton Mills has a rich history dating from 1865, and generations of families have worked and lived there. Oakdale is the oldest continuously operating cotton mill in the country. Mill employees still live in the surrounding village."--Container. |
