Abstract |
Follows two generations of the Santiago family of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, over a twenty year period. Twenty years earlier Sister Mary Paul and Sister Geraldine established a unique social service agency, The Center for Family LIfe. Its mission was to provide an alternative for gang members, including the Santiago family. Family problems during this time include gang activities and violence, teenage pregnancy, dropping out of school, and family counseling. |
