Abstract |
Consists primarily of land records (1761-1877) of the Boyd family pertaining to land near the Tar River in Pitt County and lots in the city of Greenville. Also included are land grants and deeds for land on the Pamlico River in Beaufort County. Other legal records consist of a will for Walter Dixon of Pitt County, estates papers for the estate of John Boyd, slave deed of sale, tax records, and court related documents. Also contains circulars for Trinity School at Chocowinity, N.C., and Warrenton Female Collegiate Institute at Warrenton, N.C., which offer details of each school's curriculum, organization, faculty, and tuition. Student reports, texts, and expenses are included for Warrenton Female Collegiate Institute. |
