Abstract |
Lawyer Jacquelyn E. Stone was born on January 7, 1958 in Williamsburg, Virginia. She earned her B.A. degree in American government from the University of Virginia in 1980, and her J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1985. Stone worked briefly as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Robert H. Michel in the United States House of Representatives, before joining McGuireWoods L.L.P. in Richmond, Virginia as an associate. Stone practiced business immigrations law and global private client law, in addition to participating in McGuireWoods' education industry. She was named a partner at McGuireWoods in 1994, where she chaired the firm's diversity and inclusion committee, served on the board of partners, and eventually was named a hiring partner. Stone served in several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Old Dominion Bar Association. |
