Biographical notePeter Hillsman Taylor (1917-1994) was a noted short story writer, novelist, playwright, and educator from Tennessee known for writing about characters from Tennessee and the tension between the old, rural South and the new, industrial South. Taylor was married to the poet Eleanor Ross Taylor.
