Commonwealth of Massachusetts : June 12th, 1813. The committee of both houses appointed "to consider what measures it is expedient for this legislature to adopt in relation to the unhappy war in which we are engaged, the means to induce a speedy restoration of peace, and to restore this commonwealth to the blessings of a free and unmolested commerce; and to that influence in the councils of the nation, to which she is so justly entitled," have attended the service assigned them, and ask leave to report a remonstrance to the Congress of the United States, which is hereunto annexed.
