Biographical note | Dr. Leo Warren Jenkins (1913-1989) was the sixth president of East Carolina University. He joined the faculty of East Carolina Teachers College in 1947 as dean of the college. He was installed as president of East Carolina College in 1960, and he served in this role until his retirement in 1978. |
